I think it will be a solar storm.

Basically, the sun "erupts" every second and sends charged subatomic particles into space. Fortunately, there's literally infinite directions in which those particles flee into space, so most of it doesn't come near us. If it did, though, we would be SCREWED. There's a 1% chance we will be hit with one with less than 12hrs to prepare

This isn't all that farfetched either. Earth was hit by a solar storm in 1859, and thankfully technology wasn't that prevalent back then and most survived the initial impact but if we were hit with the same storm today...

- Credit Cards would freeze
- Life support machines would shut off
- Fridges would turn off.
- Planes would fall from the sky
- Cars wouldn't run.
- We would have no running water
- Computers, phones, TVs, and radios wouldn't work

And much more. Let's hope it doesn't happen

I picture a giant war where we all kill each other.

A comet will probs never hit us. Their orbits are too eccentric.

An asteroid, though, is a definite. There's an asteroid out there with our name on it.

I think nuclear war. Then mass starvation etc. If that doesn't happen, extreme weather/global warming a bit later on.

Anyway, I think humanity will destroy itself.

Its unthinkable. The universe is smarter than us.

Humans are too ****ed up, humans will kill our world before natural causes do. Probably another war. Just hope it's not in my lifetime.

You're half right. The world will be destroyed by effect of the Sun's demise, but humans won't exist by then. Maybe another species.
