True Colors is an existing Zedd track. Isn't the reason this is allowed is because she can cover tracks but not release / record new material?

It probably has something to do with the fact that Kesha can't officially release anything she writes? She has a publishing deal with Kemosabe so maybe she knew Luke wouldn't let her release a new song she wrote so she had to do covers until she's free?
