tinder is so boring compared to grindr tbh, no one on that app can hold a damn conversation grindr is a lot better once you get past the sex pests.

i didn't know Tinder was like that, when i used it about a year ago it didn't work like that @ all. it was like, you'd choose if you wanted to see males/females/both and if you chose males you'd see 100% guys only, whether they're straight bi or gay and you just took ur chances at swiping right and hoping they were gay, it didn't even have a sexual orientation category, like no one could tell you were gay by looking at your profile. idk if this made sense i rambled but are you sure it's like how you described in the op? maybe you saw males in the female category bc they had their gender set to 'female' on facebook as a joke, a lot of ppl in high school used to do that
