But, it seems quite obvious that she won't release this year. I just can't see how. I mean, yes, there were those business meetings with Capitol some weeks/months ago but she really doesn't look like she's working on a new album. She's clearly in need of a reinvention; I feel like she has no idea of what her future record is gonna sound like and for the first time in her career since
Teenage Dream, the dynamic in her way of record and write an album has changed. She technically
can work with Dr. Luke but she knows that if she does, she will be drag for it for 2 reasons:
- the Kesha scandal (no need to say more)
- people will criticize her for not taking any risks and will say she doesn't evolve, especially for a 4th album that's supposed to be "mature".
Finally, I think she's happy right now: her relationship with Orlando Bloom seems to be going great and getting serious but at the same time, I feel like it slows her down, creatively speaking.
The whole "I found love again and saw the light" has been done with
PRISM because of her relationship with John Mayer. They broke up and then, she automatically dated Orlando. I don't see any "dark" songs coming from that because her new relationship stopped her from getting heartbroken. So, I really wonder what inspiration she's gonna find out.
She's clearly still in research.
