i said release new versions of everything every year, as in every year it seems like they introduce new versions of things–the mini this, the mini that, new size macbook, new size phone, just adding products to existing families. do you honestly believe a company adding many different versions of products/diversity can't hurt them?

that's such a naive oversimplification. cognitive dissonance exists. there's a reason steve jobs, the actual expert who made apple what it is today, would be rolling in his grave at what they are currently doing.
