The movie is good but it was disappointing if you read the book. I read the book before seeing the movie and they didnt add some great and important scenes. But it was nice. Peter Jackson's imagination is amazing.

This could be a major flop. The release has already been pushed back becasue the reviews it has been getting are terrible. It was released in the US on the 11th of December so that it could be in contention for the oscars, but with all the mad reviews I don't think they are going to have much luck there. Also, this film cost $100 million to make, which is far too much imo.

I'll probably see this film though. LOTR are my favourite films so I guess I'll give Peter Jackson a chance. Saoirse Ronan was also amazing in Atonement.

Yeah its sad that its flopping. The book is a real classic. They may have luck in this year's oscar's but for Stanley Tucci's performance only. Saoirse Ronan was amazing in Atonement but in this film I felt that she was really weak.

Doesn't she look like Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter? I thought this was at first a spin-off from Harry Potter with that character.

Im really disappointed with the movie, I was looking out for it for time now.
I loved the book.

The trailer is very good, but the movie is not that appealing.

Luna Lovegood is played by Evanna Lynch, they are both Irish though!

It is only on a limited rlease in the US thus far, it will be expanding into a wdier release tomorrow so it could still do ok.

I'm disapointed to hear that Saoirse was weak in this film, I think she has alot of potential. She is still only 15.
