For example, there was a concern raised a page or two back about how all the red links make visual navigation a bit difficult. The solution isn't as simple as changing the colors back to the concept screenshot because those links share the same styles as links on several other sections. So a new style needs to be created (let's say "link-color-2") and that new style needs used in other parts of the forum where it makes sense. That's just one of many changes that go through a process. Then there's a dozen or so themes that will need to be styled for any additional colors added to the main theme.
By tomorrow I'll be better able to say when the beta comes back. It may be this weekend, but I'll wait to confirm.
