Kris Allen's debut album sold just over 80,000 copies in its first week, entering Nielsen SoundScan's Top Current Albums chart at No. 11 and giving Kris Allen the lowest opening-week sales of any American Idol winner. (John Mayer's Battle Studies topped the chart, selling nearly 286,000 copies.)
Kris wasn't even the best-selling Idol, since Carrie Underwood's Play On sold more than 86,000 copies, putting it past the half-million mark.
Nevermind, Ruben Studdard was way more successful:
His album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 album chart that month, selling over 400,000 copies in its first week and attaining the second highest first-week sales of any American Idol winner.
His first single went to #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart

Nobody even remembers that he won...The runner up is outshining him to the point of embarassment and he's still smiling and running through the meadows while his album is flopping.

And,Kris is only on his FIRST singles
+ He is having weak promotion unlike Adam
