'Blame It' is the ultimate party track. It has one of the most catchiest hooks of the year and the Jamie Foxx's auto-tuned voice doesn't bother at all, in fact it makes the song more enjoyable. i found myself listening to this over and over again for a long time, there is something about it that makes you wanna listen to it over and over again, and surprisingly enough I haven't gotten sick of it.
19. Lady GaGa "Bad Romance"
"Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah! Roma-Roma-ma-ah! Too addictive. GaGa pushes the envelope once again and gives life to one of the most original tracks of the year. Everything is in the right place, the dancefloor beats, the impressive video, GaGa's strong vocals, and of course the infectious chorus. 'Bad Romance' is truly one of the standout tracks of '09. Hands down.
18. Taylor Swift "You Belong With Me"
'You Belong With Me' showcases Taylor Swift's most remarkable talent, her songwriting skills. In a clever way, Taylor narrates a love struggle while using comparisons between the shy band geek girl and the typical popular high school cheerleader. The sincerity and authenticy in her voice makes this a more enjoyable track, something only Taylor Swift would be able to deliver, no one can compare to her in this deparment.
17. Ke$ha "Tik Tok"
Bart, I'm waiting for that smart comment, but you damn well know you dance to this in the mirror when you're feeling down. 'Tik Tok' is a party anthem and the impressive start of Ke$ha's career, which is already breaking records and topping the charts everywhere. Nothing too serious about it, just a song about having fun. Haven't heard Animal yet, but I will when I get the chance, if it's like Tik Tok, it already has a place in my 'best of' chart next year. Bet on it.
Ke$ha is really growing on me as an artist. Her album is pretty good
Most original track of the year? HELL NO. You could easily switch Bad Romance's and Poker Face's chorus and still no one would notice the difference. LOL
