Not to burst your bubble, but I don't believe they're ever going to do this. All of the starters have had their respective colors in their design somewhat up till now.
The grass starter will always be green. The fire starter will always be red. The water starter will always be blue. It's probably done this way so that newbies picking up a Pokemon game can tell instantly which of the three types that Pokemon is. It's also why they're probably never subdued colors; the shades they pick for the starters are always bold and extravagant, probably because they're the most important new Pokemon, alongside legendaries.
And on a side note; the Fire starter Zodiac thing isn't legit either. At least 2 of the six don't match; and there's others that are also arguable.

I actually like this fakemon or at least the idea of a grass starter being a bird in general. Quetzal would be beautiful, but some fans believe that Xatu is based on that one. Hummingbird would be cute too, it could be Grass/Fairy...
