Hillary Clinton’s Campaign, Cautious but Confident, Begins Considering Running Mates
Quote:
Among the names under discussion by Mrs. Clinton, Mr. Clinton and campaign advisers: Senators Tim Kaine and Mark Warner, former governors from the key state of Virginia; Senator Sherrod Brown of Ohio, who represents both a more liberal wing of the party and a swing state; former Gov. Deval Patrick of Massachusetts, a prominent African-American Democrat; and Thomas E. Perez, President Obama’s labor secretary and a Hispanic civil rights lawyer.
|
Quote:
She also wants a partner who is unquestionably qualified for the presidency and would help create the strongest contrast with the Republican ticket, which could be dogged by questions about Donald J. Trump’s fitness for the presidency or Senator Ted Cruz’s unbending conservatism, according to those interviewed. And she wants someone who could be an effective attack dog against either candidate.
|
Quote:
Mrs. Clinton is likely to make her pick soon after the Republican ticket is known, according to Democrats close to the campaign, and her political calculations in choosing a running mate may shift depending on whether the opposing nominee is Mr. Trump, Mr. Cruz or someone unexpected, and who the Republican No. 2 is.
|
If Kasich is on Trump's ticket, you best believe, Hillary will counter that selection with Sherrod Brown, a popular progressive from Ohio. I hate taking Democratic Senators from Senate in GOP-led states, but this would be necessary. I'm all for the CLINTON/PEREZ ticket to be honest, but it seems like Gov. Deval Patrick's name has recently popped up out of nowhere.

No offense but it is comments like these why I can't stand liberals and their anti-patriotic views. Like, really? Americans turned California into a state of opportunity, NOT Mexico (which is why THEY are coming to OUR country, not the other way around). Gurl, I really wanna go in on you but I'll forgive you cuz of your Pokemon avatar.

1) We do need a wall
2) Biden really should've run, he'd have put Bunny away by now and Trump would have 0 path to victory

Well, the thing is, running against Trump is different from any other election.
A good (and by good, I mean enormous) portion of the Republican party is outright dissatisfied with Trump being the nominee, and a great majority of independents are as well. Picking Sandoval as VP would be such a great marketing tool to get the sane right-wing by her side and secure the independent vote after surely shifting to the left during the 2016 primaries.
Sandoval isn't just the typical Republican politician you'd ignore, he's even beyond Susan Collins in terms of moderacy. If he was a key name in Obama's list of being a SCOTUS judge, I don't see why he'd be that far off from being VP, one of the most useless jobs in terms of getting things done in US politics.
Also, "embarrassing the Democratic Party" is just not a thing. Democrats will stay by her side whenever. If anything, it may be good for down tickets as it would make the Democratic Party appeal as non-obstructive and willing to work across the board.

Biden is super charismatic. I'm 99% confident that the Clinton team paid him not to run. They are SO evil!

I actually disagree. Bernie probably wishes that Biden did run. He would've hurt Hillary's race by taking away some of her core supporters, whereas Bernie would retain his same folks. He would've eased on through thanks to Biden and Clinton splitting votes. Biden isn't without his own political skeletons, people just don't talk about it much. Anita Hill, his vote on the '94 Crime Bill, his vote for the Iraq War, PAC money, and so on. Some of the same criticism against Hillary applied to Joe as well. He's part of the "Establishment" as Bernie likes to call folks.

Nearly half of the black youth is unemployed. WHY are they voting for Hillary en masse? WHY do they continue to support mass immigration (by voting for her) when they are the main losers from this policy? Why do they want more Hispanics (by voting for her, that is what you will get) when Latin culture is even more racist towards them (look at the telenovelas. All the dark-skinned characters are always hidden. Also, I noticed that the most racist ATRL members tend to be from Latin-America). WAKE UP!

Have you noticed how it's only minority groups who go hard for Hillary? I'm sorry, but are they THAT desperate for their welfare checks to come in? Even then, Bernie is probably better as their welfare checks will get even bigger so I really don't get the brainwashed support for her.

Not all or most of them are like that, but sadly, you do make a valid point. I say this with personal experience on the matter from inside ATRL as a former mod and outside of ATRL in the real world, being a neighboring state to Texas. However, it works both ways. There are plenty of racism from Black Americans to Latino Americans as well. "Those damn Mexicans" and "They probably have no insurance" (as a car full of them passes by) are some crude remarks made that I have heard from black folk. The amount of prejudice within the color community is shocking and disgusting. Then again, even within the black community, we have dark-skinned vs. light-skinned wars. We really are our own worst enemies at times.

I see your points, but if he ran the media would immediately frame it as a Hillary/Biden two horse race and Bernie would've been forced out of the picture like Jim Webb etc by the 1st debate.
I also think he's more charismatic than she is (and more likeable). He'd also have no problems splitting the white male vote w Trump, he's the ultimate alpha in politics.

1- Standing up against blatantly racist comments is not being 'sensitive'.
2- Saying that about my country assures you're very misinformed. If anything, Jordan is statistically the most racist country on earth and this type of rhetoric is seen in the streets, on TV, in the papers, etc. without anybody filing a single complaint.
3- And no, you're wrong. You're not allowed to state that type of opinion on this website. Stick to the community guidelines. Last time you tried it with these types of comments and said it was your opinion, I got you banned.
4- Have a nice sunny day! We get plenty of those in Jordan.

Blacks and hispanics don't love each other, we just happen to mutually hate Trump
And the welfare thing is super dumb. Otherwise minorities would be running to Bernie who's giving everything out for free.
