No, I love her videos.

The problem with her videos during the last few years has been that they're either too simple and lazy or aren't well-made. Out of her last 10 videos as the lead artist only Diamonds and BBHMM were 'bigger' productions and Diamonds was boring as ****, although visually stunning. She needs to get Melina back, to be honest. She's been slaying all of the visuals she's done for Beyoncé during the past few years and she'd do the same for Rih.

This tbh. Talk That Talk and Unapologetic kind of blended into one long era, and Anti just feels like a continuation of the former two, despite the massive break. It feels a bit predictable, honestly.

Really? I feel like the Anti era has very distinctive imagery - the music videos have all had an immensely dark undertone.

Melinia is good but 95% of her concepts are stolen or not properly credited. Most recently with the Formation video

On one hand yes... But on the other, it's still kind of 'fresh' and virtually unheard of in a lot of ways for someone as mainstream as Rihanna to embrace the 'trap' world.

It's working for her because I think people are bored of standard oversexualized pop video. I don't think a video like WHYB would work for her now or for any pop star for that reason.
