She is trying to give a voice to people that don't have a platform to defend their rights. Haven't seen the original interview, but I expect the focus on Beyonce might have been added by the website to get clicks.

I wasn't aware of Tamils being a significant threat to Black Lives in America or anywhere else.
Unlike the USA which directly and indirectly threatens Muslim and other middle eastern people.

I don't think she intended it to be an attack against Beyonce, only a wish that support for middle eastern people could get the same amount of mainstream attention.

Alicia Keys has touched on the subject with We Are Here. As long as Bey touches on subjects in relation to the current times she's doing the job right.

I'm sure she didn't mean to say one topic should be more talked about than another but I can see what she means. But it's her job to speak louder to get her race issues herd. I feel the same about my Latin people but it's due to us not really doing anything about it. Race issues are ****ed up and when it comes down to it we're all the same to racists. Im happy for the blm movement coz it'll open doors to all other racial issues concerning different race.

There is a difference between criticizing christians for their erroneous/outdated beliefs and lumping all muslims together as a big group of worthless terrorists. One would think that one minority wouldn't be so quick to judge another like that (especially on here since most blakc people here are gay as well, so that's 2 minorities).
