This is likely their way or trying not to discourage his supporters. Bernie is very much likely not going to endorse Hillary for the GE and instead keep his movement going and build up a new section of the democratic party.

Even if you are the biggest Bernie supporter on the planet, you have to admit that Jeff Weaver is messy as ****. He's hurt Bernie's campaign more than anything else, in my opinion. From what I understand, he encouraged Bernie to go more aggressive in his rallying and that made a lot of people view Bernie more negatively, including myself. I've grown to the point where I flat out get angry when I see Bernie Sanders. I can't stand him at this point anymore. I'd still vote for him (not happily) if he performed a miracle to get the nomination. But, I think Jeff Weaver has greatly hurt Bernie's image.

Both Jeff Weaver and Tad Devine are going to make hundreds of thousands or more than a million from this one campaign. Bernie is a cash cow.
