Hello panel. I'm Bloomers/Jackson.



I'm really looking forward to another season of Survivor and excited to at least follow along, and I hope to be considered for the cast. Survivor is one of my favorite games on ATRL (I think I've read through most of the seasons at this point).

I guess as far as my personality goes, I'm a little on the lowkey and reserved side of things, . I'm a pretty easy-going guy that's usually in a good mood, and likes everyone else to be also; I'm always making bad jokes or puns. I'm also a pretty active member on here and relatively outgoing. I'd like to think I can get along with pretty much anybody actually.

In person, I'm hyper competitive and will try to win at whatever I do with extreme determination, and usually don't turn down competition. Usually on here though, I sign up for games just to have fun, to goof around, hang out or challenge myself which eases a lot of the pressure to feel the need to compete, and lets me take a more casual approach.

I think I can be a formidable opponent when I want to be though. I think my strengths are how well-thought out and reasonable I am, but also the fact that I'm usually pretty easy going and usually am pretty corny. which can led to people not taking me too seriously Sometimes, I think my character traits help me fly under the radar a little bit or cause people to overlook me, and I prefer that honestly.

During the last season of Survivor, I pretty much signed up to outpeak myself from the prior season and get to be able to do some of the later challenges (I had a blast putting together my ARTPOP and Me. I Am Mariah entries); but I really got into the game as it progressed and this time around, I am determined to try my best to win the whole thing if I make it through. I really want to be able to call myself a Survivor winner.



2. What makes you want to play this game?

Honestly, Survivor is just a lot of fun. I really would like to win the game and the title of Survivor, but at the end of the day, it's a lot of fun to play. I've played before and had a great time and made some pretty good friends on here.

The music based challenges are what drew me into the game to begin with. They're well-designed and are a lot of fun to complete, especially the ones that usually come after the merge (the album reviews/revisions are my favorite).

Like I said, I'm pretty determined to try my best to win if I make it, but I also really like reading through the thread and being a part of the game.




3. Have you played in any tournaments before?

Why yes, yes I have played in tournaments before.

I'm a pretty regular member of the games section. My ATRL resume includes Bingo (Season 1), Let's Spoon, Survivor, Family Feud, Scattergories, Holy Trinity, Legend Troupe, I Love Money, Song Contest, Endurance, ATRL Elite Choose The Album Then A Song, Inside Out, Persistence, The Drinking Game and many others.

I think I have a pretty good track record with most of the games I have signed up for.

I always put in effort into each of my entries, even if they're just for fun and I always commit to a game I sign up for, even if it's just for fun, and always see things through. I don't think I've ever quit a game I signed up for; I always see things through to the very end.




4. What's your music taste like?

I listen to everything, from Ariana to Zedd.

Actually, I think my taste is pretty diverse. I try and keep up on new releases and listen to new things all the time. I have a pretty big iTunes library that I'm always adding to.

My favorite genres are hip-hop, rock, country, pop, and R&B (so most I guess ). Drake is my favorite artist overall and the only one I come close to stanning for, but I find something to like about most artists. I'm equally happy listening to whatever mainstream album happens to be freshly released, or indie releases that only three people have ever heard.

My name is Matthew. I added the X because I'm eccentric. What am I like? A mess. Ask anyone who has ever played a game with me. I'm obsessed with quail eggs, and that is a fun fact. Super cool. I also like thighs at the moment. They are a very interesting body part, I don't even know why. My last boyfriend had really nice thighs. I've only ever eaten quail eggs once, and I kept swallowing bits of the shell. I have a signed copy of Shayne Ward's book. I've read the whole bible. Anything else??? not really. The qualities I like about myself are my cheekbones, jawline, I'm hilarious (Scattergories Funniest Player), I can speak a bit of Welsh, i'm generous and bake a lot of Salted Caramel Fudge Cupcakes (I made 21 of them yesterday), and I'm just generally amazing idk tbh yeah

WHAT MAKES YOU WANT TO PLAY WITH THIS GAME?
I want to play this game because it smells amazing! And I want to play at least 30 games on ATRL before I die. Maybe like 32. That seems like a good number. My dad is 32.

It all looks fun to me! Especially the other players. Is there an orgy round?

not many of them went that well apart from the two seasons of Drag Race, where I came 5th in both of them. but I was the funniest in Scattergories! won an award for it

1. Tell the panel a little about yourself.
Well my name’s George, but lots of people on here call me Georgie which is cool. I’m seventeen and I’m just an individual at heart really… I have my own weird mentality when it comes to things, more specifically by being very analytical, which is definitely an asset in this game from a strategic perspective. As I’ve done in previous seasons, I’m really not afraid to go against the grain and speak my mind when needed. While I may appear shy, quiet, etc., I’m always thinking, and I’m someone who’s willing to give 110% effort into everything I do. A lot of my friends consider me to be very funny, which I think is just cute for the lil antics that always happen in the thread. The thing which is interesting about ATRL though is I’ve noticed lots of people have latched onto the typical lingo, and make things try-hard / monotonous when conversing. I definitely have my own lil styles of humor and writing which might be a little refreshing to see. I’m also a pretty creative person, which can totally be used in challenges. A quality which I think could be quite interesting to see play out is honesty / loyalty. Games like Survivor often involve lots of lying, backstabbing, etc. … it’s not really my style of gameplay though, although if it comes down to it in the end, I’m not afraid to make a move. I think what I can bring to the table is just really being myself — a straight-up, honest, not giving a **** what others think, and not being afraid to stir the pot when the timing’s right. I may not be the most entertaining person to watch, but trust and believe that my brain’s always rolling, and **** will definitely be happening behind-the-scenes.



2. What makes you want to play this game?
Well I’ve been watching Survivor for about five years now, and I love it so much. So really just being able to play the game as such a fan is incredibly exciting. And of course being obsessed with music … I find the mesh of the both to be perfect in this tournament, as I have played here before twice and have enjoyed it both times. I feel like really this third time around is all about redemption for me. I was able to make the merge, but completely tanked one of the challenges and got booted out immediately because I was a challenge threat, and not aligned with anyone. The second time around I found myself in a bigger struggle to get with a solid alliance. I’ve definitely learned from my mistakes in the two seasons, and really want to get right. I think in the end if I play all my cards right that I can win this game, just as anybody else can. I love competition, so bring it on!



3. Have you played in any tournaments before?
Gosh, I’ve played in plenty! Besides Survivor, I’ve participated in tournaments like Family Feud … Choose The Album, Then A Song … ATRL’s Song Contest … ATRL Bingo … ATRL’s Holy Trinity … Let’s Spoon … and more! I actually won the fourth season of The Song Game and was able to become a member of the judging panel for the following season, which I enjoyed doing so much.



4. What's your music taste like?
My musical taste is very eclectic, although the real foundation of it is Top 40 / Pop music with blends of Urban / Rhythmic material. While Pop is really how I got into the music, over the years as I’ve matured and expanded my tastes I’ve really gotten to love lots of R&B/Soul and Hip-Hop/Rap. I think the R&B/Soul side comes from long, long ago when I was about seven years old. Somehow I had the Divas ’98 Special CD that was a collaboration between Aretha Franklin, Céline Dion, Carole King, Mariah Carey, Gloria Estefan and Shania Twain. I distinctly remember bopping and memorizing the lyrics to songs like “Turn the Beat Around”, “Make It Happen”, “My All”, “Chain of Fools” and “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” The Hip-Hop/Rap side definitely comes from my background as a percussionist, and also my love for writing. Anything with exciting rhythms and complex lyrics intrigues the hell out of me, and I’ve found Rap to be the genre that expresses that the most. My favorite artists in general would be Lady Gaga, Kesha, Danity Kane, Azealia Banks and Lana Del Rey. I also live little loves for Country, Alternative, and Latin-Pop music. Some of my favorite albums of all-time include ‘Born This Way’, ‘Broke With Expensive Taste’, ‘ANTI’, ‘She Wolf’ and ‘E=MC^2”. But I always love exploring new music and such.
