Yeah you're correct - it was a straight guy who agreed to take his gay friend to prom.
Anyway you all exaggerate this SO much - Ellen has actually given thousands away to hundreds of black people both old and young. I remember there was a black guy on there not too long ago who she gave a tonne of money to cause he was going through a tough time and was going to college etc.
And then there's the many many stories of single mothers and stuff that she's given money too. Heck she even gave a brand new HOUSE to a black woman a couple of years ago - furnished and everything.
Yes admittedly she gives money and gifts sometimes for stupid reason (Damn Daniel, alex from target etc) but for the most part she's incredibly generous with the things that she gives away. This is not about colour at all.
