Because you can take anything out of context even if you had the full text/video of something. For example there was a whole damn debate video of Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton in Michigan but that didn't stop tabloids from saying "Bernie Sanders says only black people live in the ghetto!" yet they could have easily looked at the video to say that wasn't what he was saying at all

Same with the transcripts. People like Bernie's camp will pick a single line and take it out of context even when the full transcript already would be present at that time

Forget Bernie, it's solid ammunition for Ted Cruz or Donald Trump to pull out and cherry pick quotes and take them out of context. We know they won't be releasing theirs (Trump..) anytime soon, so why give them the one up? Absolutely no reason to release them. Her answer for them is ****ing terrible though. Oh well, it's almost over.

Oh yeah that's true. Had she released hers and went to a general election they would've dragged her for it yet they did the same thing and at that point would not have released it.

Like it's not smart at all to release it and her team (sometimes) is smart.

Don't worry. It won't be open. They're asking people to vote provisionally because they want to save their vote just in case it becomes open. It never will. They will not change the rules in the middle of a primary

So anyone voting provisionally is wasting their time. It's a shame NY didn't give independents ample time to change but it is what it is. It's written in the constitution

A friend who lives in Australia told me that Hillary won NY by 15 points, so try to act cool as if you don't know what's gonna happen?

Ted Cruz is Berry Goldwater 2.0. He basically stands no chance. Technically Sanders is Eugene McCarthy/George McGovern 2.0 but the country has become far more liberal since that time and he has independent support, which would help big time in a GE. Plus his honesty/authenticity would help attract voters as well.

Hillary's unfavorables are worrying for democrats if the republicans don't run Cruz or Trump.

Basically all of the candidates have very weak spots this year. That's why I'm amazed Bloomberg didn't run.

I actually think Sanders can beat both Trump and Cruz. If he wins then he'll be fine and save us from those walking disasters

It's funny how Goldwater basically became the grandfather of modern conservatism but he actively advised against pandering to the religious, leaving religion out of public life, and wanted to leave gays and abortion alone. If only they would have completely listened to him.

The only thing to really fear would be a non-Trump/Cruz nominatoon (and which I wouldn't be that scared anyways, as the base would not show up to vote, but moderates would probably show up more for downticket Republicans, bad news for Dems).

If it's not Trump or Cruz then who does it become, Kasich? He doesn't have ANY delegate support (no one will support him after the second or third ballot) and if his own people aren't donating to him now they'll never donate to him in a GE . He's over. For them to win they'd have to nominate someone not in the presidential primary process but as you said Countess the party would revolt haha

My dad seems to think Kasich or Paul Ryan is going to get the nomination (which yuck and blah to the first and way too young for the second). But I'm pretty sure that the contested convention is going to happen if Trump doesn't get the delegates. My mom's friend was pretty giddy and sheepish about it happening.
