P!nk debuted in 2000 and always had a three year advantage of album sales. Kelly's first three albums destroy P!nk's first three eras in terms of sales even tho P!nk released them 3/4 years earlier when sales were MUCH stronger. As Kelly's starpower started to decline a bit, P!nk took over with her three year advantage.

Comparing sales climate,
every P!nk release since Breakaway has outdone the respective Kelly release. Only Thankful and Breakaway outdo P!nk's respective releases by year or by order, and those were over a decade ago.
Even then,
P!nk has sold more albums, more singles, more streams and destroys her in touring, this decade and overall. The answer remains P!nk.
The OP remains super vague though, so this year, it would be Kelly, but in a larger context, P!nk.
That's like saying John Lennon isn't relevant because you can't just call him John, and there are other Johns like John Mayer, John Newman, John Legend, etc.
It's incredibly impressive that P!nk is a) still around after all these years (which is not a given these days) and b) has only gained in popularity and success over time (which again is rare). You could just as well argue she as a "three year disadvantage" as most careers seem to have an expiry date nowadays (looking at her peers who all used to be more successful than her)...
