Alicia Keys will ring in the New Year as Saturday Night Live's first musical guest of 2010. The "Empire State of Mind" singer is slated to perform on the show on January 9.
Keys will appear alongside NBA legend Charles Barkley, who will be the first host of 2010. Barkley hosted the show back in 1993, with musical guest Nirvana.
Haven't been interested in SNL in awhile. I can't wait to see the skits that they come up with for Barkley, and Alicia will be amazing as always. This should be a great show.

I feel the same way! There is a LOT of material the writers can work on with Charles... and he's a very funny guy too! And Alicia is going to be incredible (but when has she not!?) Can't wait to hear ESOMP2BD
