At the rally Sanders held in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park on Sunday, the reaction was mixed.
Some attendees couldn’t stomach the possibility. Robina Khalid, for example, drew a parallel to Woody Harrelson’s character in “Indecent Proposal” being offered $1 million for a night with his wife, played by Demi Moore.
“I wouldn’t do it,” she said. “Yeah. It’s $200,000. It would be helpful. But morals, those pesky things.”
A man named Virendra, meanwhile, claimed he couldn’t get past his internal skepticism over what the bank would want in return for the money. “I don’t have anything worth saying for that much. I would wonder why they were asking me. I would be asking myself: ‘What do I have to say that is worth that dough?’”
Others said that they would be hesitant to take the speaking cash unless they could only give a certain kind of speech.
“I would probably pass on it because I have morals,” said Zsuzsa Feher. “But if i could give a speech of ‘**** you, Goldman Sachs,’ I would give it.”
But most confided that they would, in fact, take the money. After all, it’s TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS!
“Of course I would,” said Michael Mindell of Manhattan, “so long as I can say whatever I wanted.”
Eve Deambra, 17, and her nearby friend both said they’d take Goldman’s honorariums as well. So too did Matt Mintz, 28, of Long Island. “I probably would take it,” he said. “I’m only making $75,000 a year, so that would probably help.” Asked if he felt he would be morally compromised with that fat Goldman check in his bank account, he replied, “No. If an organization is willing to pay you X amount of money to give you a speech, than your market rate is X.”
So all that fussing and most of his supporters would still take the money for speaking fees? HILARIOUS.
"I am proud of this campaign. we have won 7 of the last 8 contests. It's clear to me and everyone else that the momentum is on our side. I started polling in New York months ago, down by 60% and we trimmed it down to only 15%. It speaks volumes to the general public that my message is resonating with the people. This campaign is not just about electing a president, it is about making a political revolution. What that revolution about is bringing millions and millions of people into the political process. Working people who have been so disillusioned they no longer vote and young people who have never been involved. The system is rigged and stacked against you by Democratic *****s who are beholden to Wall Street and the big banks. We still have the momentum and path to the nomination as clear as ever. Now, on to the next state.....California"

*fast forward to California at night*
"We've lost 14 of the last 15 races, but we look forward to Washington DC where the DNC tried to keep me off the ballot completely, but failed. The momentum is on our side, we will take DC by STORM! Count on THAT!" *wild applause*
Okay like I just read the email from Bernie's team. They are bragging about a single poll that has them down 6 from Gravis (a ****** pollster) and said they don't have to win New York. Like wyd Bernie's team? Someone needs to be fired for the lies
edit: and that Gravis poll was from two weeks ago. They TRIED it
You know all of that is smoke and mirrors? Especially Vince Foster. There has been like 4 independent investigations about that. All of them concluded it was a suicide. These "scandals" have about as much weight as Obama's birthed conspiracy.
Yeah, esp. the Foster stuff, given the Arkansas Project information. As for the fraud/obstruction of justice/other stuff, well, I don't know about that I'm sure she was guilty for something given the hundreds of investigations launched against her over the years The only part that worries me is that she'll be under an even hotter spotlight once she's president, and I feel like something from the past could resurface and be a huge problem. But I guess all her years in politics is a double-edged sword; she's super qualified, but also brings a lot of baggage to the position.
What bothers me most is that some people are tricked into believing that Bernie can win EASILY. That's the biggest thing for me.
Some of my friends are good at heart, but they buy into the narrative that he can have an easy comeback, instead of having to claw his way up if he wants to get anywhere in the primary
Hi! Can any of you explain the context of this video? I found it on my Tumblr so obviously it's biased toward Bernie but I'm not sure what exactly the context of the video is. It's from 2011 I think. I thought it was interesting so I was wondering what you guys think

I think those comments are TOO pressed. I think she was saying to work to overcome the effects of colonialism. Although probably could've put it somewhat better.
The president signs the legislation. Bill and Hillary were stumping for all kinds of bad legislation.
Yet the 90s was the best time for our economy. Apparently they did something right. And yes the president signed it, but Congress voted for it. And the crime bill was supported by a lot of voters. So it's not like he did all these executive actions against the people's will. You have to realize the 90s is not the 10s. Things were different then. DOMA was a bipartisan support for example.
If you're going fault someone, fault all levels of governments involved.
