Well.. you shouldn't quote wiki as a source, but a professor at my university said it's ok to use information from wiki as long as you use the original source.
Wikipedia is the best site on the internet and it's highly accurate. Those who can't accept it are stuck in 2005.
It's reliable enough. If there's anything I want more info on, I just click the source and read more
If it's not sourced, or says citation needed, I probably wouldn't use it in an argument.
I once trolled Avril's wiki page. I changed her middle name to "Ramona" which is the worst name I could think of in middle school. Turns out her middle name is actually Ramona. How the hell did I know that? It was weird
