since Adele doesn't promote her singles other than Hello, she will miss out on that record tho
but absolutely mindblowing that she´s done these numbers for 25 and still slaying!

if she had the sales that Celine and Mariah esp had back in their heydays in Japan, + if China opened up, 21 and 25 could end up in the top 5 best selling albums of all time tbh.

but those are if´s, it is what is now and both 21 and 25 i´d say has dominated harder than any other album in modern times, with the exception of Thriller maybe.
just look at the YTD for 2015 and the best Selling albums of the decade list!

The IFPI said that 25 had sold 17.4 million copies by the end of 2015. Given Mediatraffic estimated 14,970,000 at the end of last year and it's now on 17,635,000 (selling 2,665,000 copies this year), that means that 25 has passed the 20 million mark sometime last week!

^ The IFPI number are shipments. But it's probably at ~19M right now, so it's definitely crossing the 20M mark in the next couple of months.

I know some of u guys wanna try hard, but is not working the album has sold +17,5M and it's still the #3 most sold album WW (#1 on iTunes)... maybe u are right and Adele should start to worry

She's at a period where she's on a break from tour, there are no singles on the radio, and she's doing absolutely no promo. Wait for the 3rd single to be released, her US tour to start, and for her to do some more promo before acting like a drama queen.

You can hardly compare the performance of this album to 21. 21 was her breakout album.

but 25 is guaranteed to be over 1 million, like 1.01 mill.

25 SLAYED! Omg.

Its sad that you don't see how foolish your comparison is. 21 & 25 do not have the same life story they were releaased at different times of her popularity. 21 was the album that built up her huge global fanbase over a 2-3 year period with the release of several huge hits.

25 shot out the gate and sold over 5 million in its first week. Its FAR more front loaded so obviously its not gonna have the same level of consistency as 21. Added to the fact that the market has clearly dropped in sales in the past 5 years since 21. Its a rapidly changing landscape but Adele is really the only one bucking the trend when it comes to ACTUAL sales.

25 is gonna sell over 20 million in its first complete year by end of November. If that isnt astonishing in this day and age I dont know what is! When she does more big promo gigs it will get big boosts again.
