Everyone said Taylor was risky moving from Country to Pop but actually it makes a ton of sense from a business perspective given her demographic was teenage girls who listen to country. These girls will still buy that **** tbh, and now she can reach out to EVERYONE.. She probably planned to do this since the beginnings of her career
Katy hasn't had her dark era, yeah, but would Taylor shoot whipped cream out of a candy bra or have an album cover with only cotton candy covering her booty? In my opinion, Katy is allowed to get away with a lot more and her fan base is just as young if not younger, which tells me she's taken more risks.
For example Taylor would never in her right mind do this. She can't, because she's remained safe her whole career with nearly everything so she isn't allowed to do anything too far outside of the norm
