I mean her last album is pretty good, and I'd definitely go back to it more had it not been for her voice.

I feel like she's worth it, though, so I want to make the effort to finally get past it someday.

All of Yuki's solo stuff is actually really good, you should definitely give it a go!

Tbh though all of my fave Japanese albums these at least 3/4 aren't even pop (the only two pop ones so far being Especia and Perfume.) My faves so far seem to lean towards mostly indie rock/alternative albums.

hmm mantasu no thorium her melody sounds a lot like ayu's return road to me, just less dramatic sounding

LOL is trash but at least it's fun. WOML hardly evokes anything and one of the blandest albums I've heard. Anyway, Kumada's trinity is Kingdom, TRICK and Japonesque in my opinion, Deja Vu makes me feel nostalgic. The rest have cute individual songs.

bon voyage has U Know, dreaming now, LOL and LALALALA which are all bops, def not her worst

The first two I agree with but the last two are some of her worst songs, like ever.

U Know would've been the perfect retirement/farewell single. She's totally talking to her fans there. "Cuz U Know Who I Am" epic video + epic farewell performance. then come back in like 5 years with inspired material = we love her again moment

I will admit that even when Koda used to make awful garbage songs, at least they were fun in a trashy way you could enjoy every once in a while. This last album was both bad and unfulfilling

I was so obsessed with this song when the album came out. The call-Letter-reminds me-Return Road-Tell me why ~dramatic/introspective~ portion of Party Queen is such a snatch. If I play the album I usually skip to that section.

BONNIE was my biggest surprise from the rate. Kinda feel like getting into her.
