I'm majoring in it and just completed my freshman year I heard way too many times about how difficult it is especially starting junior year, but I'll stick it out.
It's only hard in the beginning, most of the work is computerized anyways. Just keep a notebook close and write every process you do, you will eventually master it! I work in the fixed assets department of a large company and everything is documented step by step, as long as you pay attention and are patient you'll be fine!
Sounds really boring. If y'all hate it so much, why did you chose it as your major?
I liked the intro classes, and thought it would lead to many opportunities. The junior level courses are difficult, and that's where I've become disheartened with it, but I'm kind of at a point where it wouldn't be feasible to change my major. Regardless, I can spring off of this foundation into other fields.

I got a B in both ACCT 101 & 102.
It's pretty complex and detail oriented.
They make a lot of money but I would die if I did this as a profession.
