The Viacom-owned cable network has picked up to series a comedy based on popular podcast Throwing Shade, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The unscripted series will feature social commentary and funny skits, and like the podcast, will cover current issues including pop culture and politics and treat them "with much less respect than they deserve." The half-hour series will air in the 11 p.m. slot and be filmed in front of a live audience. TV Land is eyeing the 10-episode series for a January debut.
