i was just thinking the other day about how they could make it work and there was this cute but morbid Tumblr post that had like the perfect plot:

it's set in like 2070, around 2030 game developers wanted to make Pokemon more and more interactive and it started with holograms, then lead to them genetically engineering Pokemon, then the Pokemon rebelled against the humans and wiped them out. So the plot would be about some human survivors living in a post apocalyptic Pokemon world that try to work with the Pokemon again so they can live in harmony. Think of the potential
