15. Whitney Houston - I Look To You Released: August 28, 2009

One of the queens of music is back this year and I have to say
this album is really good and different is very Whitney specially
the ballad "I Didn't Know My Own Strength" gives you a great
energy to your heart!, also her first single "I Look To You" which
I prefer more. If you're a fan of ballads this one will be your new
favorite. "Worth It" is another song that Alicia Keys or Mary
J.Blige wish to have on their records, the spanish-guitar
"I Got You" shows the classic voice from this lady. The dance
"Nothing But Love" and "For the Lovers" when those tracks started
I was thinking wow sounds like Lady GaGa or Janet Jackson!. I'm
really impressed with the evolution of Whitney and
"Like I Never Left" featuring Akon and "Million Dollar Bill" are tracks
which proves that!.
Conclussion this album is just Whitney and that's what I like it
it's so modern and at the same time it brings me some memories
of her back.

14. Shakira - She Wolf Released: October 09, 2009

Finally one of the most anticipated albums of the year for me.
The Shakira's comeback I was expecting! but I'm a little bit
dissapointed because her past comeback was a lot better with
"La Tortura". Well let's go with this, the sound of this album is
more dance-beat oriented very different from her previous stuff
the main theme is "She Wolf" a very sexy-song that changes
totally Shakira which was a sincere rock female at the style of
Alanis Morissette. But not all is bad there amazing songs like
"Men In this Town" which is a great electro track that will catch
you in the act!. The other thing that you could see on this
album is that Shakira incorporates more sounds from South
America and the Caribbean Islands, I guess is about Bahamas which
she loves to be, you can hear that on "Good Stuff" and "Long Time".
Also arabbian sounds like in "Why Wait" which reminds me a lot of
"Ojos Asi" with that type of sound. The dissapointing Spy which is
waste of collaboration.
Conclussion: I think this not the best from Shakira also I prefer
her past albums specially "Donde Estan los Ladrones" but this is
more for people that like some dance songs. I'm mixed with
this album.

10. Rachel McAdams
Rachel McAdams is one actress that shows
variety in her movies like "Mean Girls" to "The Notebook" and "Red Eye"
the last one she was so cute and I loved her acting. 2009 was a good
year for her specially for the recently "Sherlock Holmes" with Robert
Downey Jr. which means a big step from her, also she did two more
movies that I didn't have the chance to watch but I heard she did good
in the box office. Maybe in a couple of years Rachel will be surprising a
lot of people.
09. Marion Cotillard
The world is now on Marion's feet. This girl was amazing on that french
movie "La Vie en Rose", I was shocked when I see how beautiful she is
and how ugly she was on the movie. Now she's doing more movies also
recently she did "Nine" (the last month) and she's already nominated to
the Golden Globe Awards! Could Marion be nominated again for the
Academy Awards? Also I'm sure 2010 is gonna be her year for movies.
