I know but seeing as LoveGame and Paparazzi were the third and fourth singles from the fame its understandable that sales and airplay peaks didn't allign, but with Bad Romance it was because of a release that was far too early imo. Lead singles are always the most likely to top the charts. I'm just happy that Bad Romance managed to get to number 1 over here. I'd still like to think that Bad Romance has a shot at number one on the hot 100, maybe later on this month

exactly, but compare: sales peak for lead single is normally at the very early stage of the track's life. for latter single w/o any promo they will steadily climb the chart and normally does not make a big jump. so isn't it more understandable that lead single may have a bigger extent of sales' peak at a very early stage and huge airplay comes later ? compared that to a 3rd or 4th one?

ETA: i'm not talking about which one btw airplay and sale will peak 1st, i'm comparing btw a lead single and latter singles, which one got better alignment among airplay and sales

Bad Romance and Tik Tok have/are peaking in both sales and airplay at a similar time. Sales and airplay never allign perfectly. Each singles varies. Latter single do climb the chart, but the point I was making was that latter singles tend to have their sales spread out over a longer period of time. They are less concentrated
