When you’re a global megastar, you don’t just get anyone to direct your feature-length documentary. So it’s fitting that Rihanna’s signed up Peter Berg, who gave the singer her first acting role in 2012 film Battleship and has also directed Friday Night Lights.
According to Deadline, the documentary will be a contemporary take on 1967 Bob Dylan rock documentary Don’t Look Back. According to the official promotional materials, it will offer an “unfiltered look into Rihanna’s life and how she’s ascended to become a global icon.”
