uhhhhhhhhhhh no. i guess you could call it abuse if you were so strict about it that you never let them leave the house without a bible and tell them to spit on gay people or something, but if it's just religious on a normal level like the average person is, then no, not at all. and no, making them go to church doesn't count as abnormal.

and i think if you're not excessively strict then your kid will form their own ideas anyway.

I am far from religious, but there is nothing wrong with raising a child on religious ideals. Studies have shown how happier church goers are as they feel as though they belong to a group and believe they have a purpose.

You can raise a child to be a respectable member of society with or without religion. Those who are abuse religion and share those traits with their children are awful, however.

im not religious, but if i ever have a child i would actually want to take them to a couple of different churches and see if it's something they're interested in. just so they can have their own opinions / well rounded stance on religion. if they choose to not be religious then yay tbh but if they want to be they should be given the opportunity to do so, nothing should be imposed on them least of all my religious apathy
