Just curious, I haven't taken statistics, but instead of solely hating rich white men and assuming complete racism/sexism in our society...
...Can't it be because women are less likely to be ambitious for higher positions in general, and in this instance, latino women -- aren't they more likely to work for lower wages/be content with doing lower paying types of jobs because its just accepted within the American-Mexican culture, to work those jobs to support your family, especially if they are newly immigrated?
If they obtained an education/degree and sought after higher paying positions/positions of power, would they still have that enormous inequality?

so what's the reasoning for women of all races to be consistently earning less than white men, even white women? what's the reasoning for this to have been reported as a phenomenon for decades? why would we assume that women are earning less
across the board because we're "less likely to be ambitious" which seems like a hefty idea to push, especially when there is no strong evidence of that type of attitude being in women's minds? Did you think that maybe women don't hold as many high positions as men do BECAUSE of sexism in the work place, because of women being discouraged from seeking out those higher positions and higher education, or even if they did try, being stopped or slowed down by sexist people that do not want to see them succeed?
