It wouldn't make sense if she had literally zero input in those songs, which is not the case.
She co-wrote ALL her songs, he co-wrote a lot of them and produced most of them but those songs are still very much HERS. She put life to those songs and she and her fans made them successful, she's entirely legitimate to perform them.
Plus, I believe his paycheck is less important when the music is being played with LIVE instruments (not just Kesha's singing), when it's not just a backing track.
OT: I hope it's true. It would be such a great platform.
