Shontelle has given her UK fans an exclusive treat. After the UK made her first single "T-Shirt" a hit (reaching a peak of #6) Shontelle is giving her Brit fans an exclusive. Shontelle will release new single "Licky" exclusively in the UK whilst the US will get new song "Impossible" produced by Stargate. The video for "Licky" was shot back in November, directed by Ray Kay and expected to premier sometime soon online.

So LICKY will NOT be released in the US
But Impossible is really good!

WOW! first listen, and i already get major feelings from this song.

So? The hook is catchy as hell, the beat is fire (despite the Flo Rida similarities), and it's risque + kinda wacky, a formula for success in the US.

"Impossible" is a good song but it's not a runaway hit like "Licky". It should have been the second single AFTER Licky.

"Licky" will obviously smash in the UK, but I hope "Impossible" flops in the US just so the label can see how idiotic of a move they made with this. But they'll probably just release her album in April anyway regardless of whether it flops or not... Wow, I expected better from Motown.

i'll give impossible a chance though... it's good... but honestly not as radio friendly as T-Shirt was. but i'll give it a chance just based on the fact that it's a pretty good song.

LICKY WILL BE A USA SINGLE! it will go to clubs and get radio airplay, but will get heavier as summer comes closer, they want it to be a summer single.

In the mean time, IMPOSSIBLE will be it.

Are you sure? They had Licky on AllAccess' adds list for January 26th for a while, now they removed it and there's a new song called Unstoppable on the list going for adds on February 2nd.

That's for sure a typo error, the single coming on Feb 2 is "Impossible", they probably got it mixed up.

Like said in the post above, Impossible will be the USA's first single. then LICKY for summer 2010. but it's double sided, both will be on the radiop

then for the UK, LICKY will go first, then Impossible.
