When I think of sheer showmanship I think of Glastonbury. No outfit changes, nothing particularly crazy going on with the set - just one woman that can sing and dance live for an hour and a half while pregnant. Incredible.
The one I would show to someone who doesn't know her performing abilities though would be Freakum Dress at the I Am ... World Tour.
It's relatively short but has everything you'd need to show to get the complete picture: sass, energy, vocals, dancing, THE BACK-BEND! ugh its so good.
That moment when she's on the ground and it's shot from back in the stage and she flips her hair up!
K looking at all these performances mentioned, and I do not disagree with any one of them, it really makes you realize how lucky we are as fans that our fave can consistently slay to the point that nearly every performance is Top 3 worthy.
Deja Vu at the BET Awards is classic Beyoncé perfection too, as is Deja Vu at Tyra where she's like "You know, I really don't even need a costume, or Jay, or pyrotechnics, or leg decals, or a big stage with a moving floor, I'll be fine just like this in my zebra dress and my band."

The Tyra performance really is one of the performances I always remembered for some reason. The energy and her just rocking in her zebra dress.
Listing top 3 performances from a live performance-powerhouse is just impossible.
Personal favourites would be:
- Resentment @ I Am... Yours Vegas
- Green Light @ TBE
- Love on Top @ Roseland
- End of Time @ Atlantic City
- Grown Woman @ TMCS

What are your least favorite performances? I know everyone has like a million favorite performances, but what about the ones that just didn't move you at all?

XO @ the Brit Awards. Sis, bye!
And y'all are going to kill me but...
The 2014 VMA medley.
Ya the Brits wasn't that great. For me it's Sweet Dreams at the EMAs which was technically good but the staging and the length and the feeling at the end was not good... it left off making you feel like it was just getting started.
I can see what you mean about the medley, but I think it's amazing and so well done from the staging to the projections to the transitions and her singing, it's just that ST is not a live album like B'Day or 4.
On topic: Let's hope this upcoming era is a return to a Glastonbury Beyonce form and not a continuation of a very underwhelming Made In America festival. More singing, less J Lo/Madonna gloss, please.

I thought MIA was great.
I do long for more Beyoncé Experience type DVDs though.
