People thinking they'll have their **** together the moment they hit 30.
You"ll never "get your life together", you'll just get richer and richer until retirement and that's if you're lucky.

Age really is just a number. I'm turning 22 this year and most of the time I still feel like I did when I was 18. You'll get over it quick. Happy Birthday!

20 definitely isn't the "get your life together" stage. As long as you're successful in whatever you're doing right now (school, job), things will fall in place in due time.
I somewhat felt the same back then. At 24 now, I have a great full time job though there's things I still have to work out. But I don't put pressure on it.
Maybe worry around 27-30.

I felt like that when I turned 18. I was expecting the "real life". That's what scared me the most.
And here I am, 23, still the same ****, I'm still studying, have yet to find a serious job or leave home... Nothing changed for me tbh. I still feel 17, probably because I didn't have the typical "wild" teenage life (relationships, sex, drama...) and I feel as if I've wasted those years, at the same time I don't think I've missed out on anything. But the fact that I have yet to do those things makes me feel younger in a way if that makes sense.
What's worse for me now is the fear, cause I feel even more pressured to have a relationship, to start living as an adult and so on and I'm sure I'll have the same fears at 27, 28 and even 30. But that's only because I'm fortunate to have a good family and a home, I can't even imagine what it is for the other who have real problems...
Actually back then my biggest problem was that I hadn't done anything about my future career. I've always told myself that I will somehow make it as an artist. Wether a director, a painter, an animator, or a musician. And seeing all of our faves working their asses off at 17-18 and becoming famous at 20, that's when my dreams started dying. And now I'm 23 still trying and hoping to make it even though I now know it's hopeless...

Not really, they're the prime educations and career foundations laying years. I'm 23 and busting my ass.
It's a weird age, lots of friends leave, lots of people move, you become an adult and start to see your parents in a new light. Everything is strange tbh. Nice, but strange.

When I turned 20, I began noticing less and less people finding it cute or funny that my response to, "What career do you want?" was still "I don't know."
Before I used to always get, "Haha, you got time." and I still get that but I started getting a lot more biblios.

I'm 21 now, I never had a sense of fear.... In fact, I didn't feel that with any age.

It makes perfect sense. I'm older than you and I feel the same way.

don't worry about it. it doesn't matter when you start. if you want to have wild drama and sex, you can start pretty much any time in your 20s and you'll get the same experience.
but you don't really need to do that if you don't want to. still, you should try to get experience in social stuff, but you don't have to do it in a crazy way. i never had a crazy phase and i'm fine. i mean, i had relationships and toooooooooooooons of drama, but none of the partying or drugs or whatever else, and it never really hurt me.
...i give advice to people too much. i guess i really am in the right major

Happy Birthday! There isn't a certain age limit to make your life the way you want it to be. It's never late or early.
