She could've been on JT's and Pinks level and she was given a great opportunity in 2011 but she clearly wasn't in the right place at the time. She could've redeemed herself even in 2013, but that year turned out to be a bigger mess than 2011 for her career.

The way everyone jumped to that thread when it's not even officialy confirmed proves otherwise, considering half of the comments weren't even by her stans. And it's trending WW (obviously all the tweets cannot belong to the Army) AND I know that it seems like a weak receipt but it is some kind of a reflection of what people think in bigger scale, that is the ones that follow pop music and can give the song a push. Those people in general wish her well and know she can provide a good bop, and they will support it if they hear one.
And the public is very forgetful, they don't care about the chances they gave, especially that the fact that she once was the biggest popstar overshadows the fact that she recently flopped, in most minds. J.Lo & Cher has been flopping HARD for maany years and they managed to rebound. As soon as they released a great song that radio picked up and had a bit of luck, the public fell for it.
I don't think she's in a that much different position that the mentioned P!nk. Not comparing their recent success, but their chances of smashing now. She's not that crossed out as you make her out to be.
