Wow, that is so sad. So many amazing people (teachers and therapists) went out of their way to help this poor child, and he was failed by the system and by his family.

Really sister really? out of all things you think they're being too harsh on them? mess. A little boy died after suffering mental, physical and even sexual abuse and they ****ing knew it and still allowed them to keep the kid.

And it's their job to protect children from abusive situations like this. Literally. They didn't kill the boy themselves, but they allowed him to remain in an obviously dangerous home. They're lucky involuntary manslaughter doesn't apply since they didn't do the actual killing. But the potential time jailed is appropriate.

I would say the supervisors would need to be looked at deeper. Did they know that the records were false? Were they simply ignoring to follow up on reviews? Either way though, it's still neglectful. They essentially work for all the children in their system, making sure their employees are doing everything by the book to avoid something like this.

omg.. this is just devastating!!! how can a mother do that to her own child?!!! my god, the terror that poor angel must have felt growing up. this is maddening. the fact that social workers did nothing. this is on them as well. who the **** ignores all those signs of a child being abused to the point where he writes a suicide note?!!!! they are all ****ing monsters.

Apparently, one of the investigators was more concerned with dating the boy's mother than actually helping the child. He left a message asking the mother out on a date ugh!
