Hillary didn't drop out either, even though everyone knew she was going to lose. That's why she (and her supporters) can't demand Bernie drop out or play nice. She fought dirty till the end.
Anyways: The primary damage will be forgotten IF he can do what Bill and Hillary Clinton did in 2008; give good speeches in support of Obama in 2008. The 2008 primaries was just more brutal than this one and the DEMS managed to get it together in time for November.

Hillary was objectively more experienced than Obama though. Bernie may have had more time in congress, but Hillary has had national attention since 1992. She also had minor political roles in the 80s in Bills administration. The main question is, if Hillary isnt qualified then
what more experience does she need?. Does she need to serve in the senate until she's 90? What does she have enough experience?
Also, if Hillary's 3AM ad was implicitly racist, then some of Bernie's statements should be judged on the same merits.
