i love the THG too, but i rushed out to see every single Twilight movie in theaters. and yet, i still havent seen Mockingjay: Part 2.

The most iconic photo of our generation wouldn't have happened if Twilight wasn't a thing

i read one page of a Twilight book once and it was legit just one long ass run on sentence. like deadass
i at least read the first Hunger Games book and understand the stylistic intention that the writer was going for, Stephanie Meyer is honestly just a terrible author and yes i know that from one very poorly, unedited page

I don't even like Twilight but it had so much impact. The Hunger Games had some things here and there, mostly just "May the odds be ever in your favor" and even that wasn't that big.

If there was another THG film, it'd easily overtake the Twilight saga so THG >>>>

the twilight books outsold the hunger games books, though, i believe

should we take inflation and overseas expanding market into account?
Going with estimate ticket sold, THG sold 86, 104, 94, 76 millions tickets - 360 millions tickets total, 90 millions average. Twilight sold 55, 93, 88, 91, 103 millions tickets - 430 millions tickets total, 86 millions average.
Not much different. If there is another Hunger Games movie I doubt it would make another 70 millions tickets to even with Twilight considering MJ2 drop

This. At least all four of THG movies weren't critically panned like Twilight

twilight was loved by teen girls and their moms. if you ever went to a showing, it was like a culmination of gay dudes, girls, pre-pubescents, middle aged women that are into cheesy romantic melodrama, and then all the guys that were dragged there. it was divisive because it was lame.
ultimately i think theyre both on the same level though, the hunger games has action therefore it can appeal to straight dudes therefore its not deemed completely worthless. but it is just as worthless because its just as cheesy and just as stupid really and a completely rip off of battle royale.
theyre both wack, one can just appeal to romance-**** consumers and the other to those craving action and romance-****.

Alot of the arguments & gifs were quite funny though
But THG > Twilight imo.

Plus Hunger Games will have a legacy. I know places where that book is taught in schools.
Twilight? Not so much

Unfortunately, I agree.
At least Twilight's 2 part finale didn't kill the franchise.
Don't get it twisted though, Catching Fire is better than every single Twilight film.

eh, i read the hunger games books and they were pretty average. not horribly bad, but not that interesting either.
twilight, on the other hand, is an absolute disaster. i hated every single aspect of twilight and the more i learn about writing the more i realize that it's even worse than i thought it was back then. i didn't even read any of the books after the first one because i knew i didn't want to deal with having to read that again.

Not even just Catching Fire, ALL of THG films are better than even the best Twilight film. The books are also far better than Stephanie Myers' trash.

Not to mention it's lead actress has gone on to become highly acclaimed and superior to that of the latter.

The Hunger Games launched Jennifer Lawrence, the biggest young actress out right now... That eclipses anything Twilight has done in terms of impact. Also, in terms of quality, Twilight is literally one of the worst YA series ever written.
