Yes. It's too difficult to monitor, there's no real reason to keep it illegal, I'd rather have it be legal to the point where there is a more organized and safe way for woman (or men) to partake in this industry, and I'm tired of the tax dollars being spent on cops jailing prostitutes.
I quite frankly don't see the benefit of it being illegal.
i think this issue is complicated. a lot of the women in the prostitution industry aren't in it voluntarily; they're women that have no other options to get money, and these women are usually abused by pimps and johns. it's not as easy as just "bad bitch making money" or whatever.
so i'm not sure. on one hand, i don't want to condone that. on the other, if it were legal the government may be able to better regulate it. but also, the problems with this industry go deep and the government can't just magically make them immediately go away, so that might not even realistic. i'm kind of on the fence on this one and i think people should really consider all of the facts here before deciding rather than just looking at it as another way of getting rich.
No. The sex slave trade is too rampant, and legalizing prostituiton will make it even more accesible to recruit one people into the underground sex slave industry.
If you want to have sex that badly, then get your **** together or download an app. And if you want to have sex for money then so be it, but just keep in mind what you're getting yourself into. It's all fun and games until you enter the dark side of that world.
It's much more complicated than that unfortunately. If it were that simple, sure. But there are a lot of intricate social issues deeply intertwined in the concept of selling sex. That needs to be heavily considered in the way the law handles prostitution
this basically. I totally think it should be legal but in practicality it's much more complicated unfortunately.
Yes. It should. The government shouldn't have any right to tell you what to do with your body, and if it was legal then prostitutes would have more safety and resources, and it would actually become a lot less dangerous.
In fact, in many countries the actual act of prostitution is legal. But buying sex or running a brothel is illegal which makes no sense. If all aspects were legalized it would mean that it could be better regulated to stop trafficking and pimping.
