John Kasich Will Be the Republican Nominee for President
Quote:
The writing’s on the wall in the Republican Party: John Kasich will be the Party’s nominee in 2016, with Marco Rubio as his running mate. Only the media’s delight at continued Trumpian drama is keeping politicos and pundits from coast to coast from stating the obvious.
So as not to belabor the point, here are eight single-sentence reasons Kasich/Rubio is now almost certain to be the Republican ticket in 2016:
[SIZE="2"] [B][I]1. Donald Trump needs 1,237 delegates to win on the first ballot at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, and not only will he not get to that figure prior to the Convention — he’d need to win well over 50 percent of the remaining delegates to do so, and even during his current run as front-runner he’s only won 46 percent of delegates — he won’t even get close enough to that mark to pass it via uncommitted delegates at the Convention.
2. Ted Cruz and John Kasich staying in the race through Cleveland not only will ensure that Trump can’t get close to 1,237 delegates via primary and caucus votes, it will also ensure that both men have a reasonable delegate total by the time they arrive at the Convention — more than enough to keep both of them in the picture in the view of Convention delegates.
3. Republican Party elders have more than enough clout to make sure that “Rule 40(b)” gets changed prior to or at the Convention, thereby enabling Republicans like John Kasich who haven’t won a majority of delegates in eight states to nevertheless be considered for the nomination.
A moderate, no nonsense President who appeals to Independents and blue collar/moderate Democrats, one who will reach across the isle to work with congress to get things done, who won't embarrass us on the national stage, or lead us into nuclear armageddon; with a young hopeful Cuban American Vice President who appeals to the conservative base of the Republican party. Bye bye, thanks for playing folks.

...oh...sorry Bernie...
...but the Democratic machine is never going to let you win.
No. If they don't rightfully give it to Trump, it will be Paul Ryan.
Why would Paul Ryan give up a job that actually has more power than the President?
Daddy Paul is perfectly happy playing puppet master as Speaker of the House.
Yes, Trump would get slaughtered...that's why the GOP will elect Kasich in a contested convention, and make Rubio his running mate. The GOP wants to win, nominating Kasich is the only way they CAN win.

A promotion is a promotion, and the GOP need a presentable candidate. They don't have that with their current crop.
My beef with Kasich is that he hasn't won any primary, so why would he be a strong Republican nominee? I think he knows it too, but staying in the race keeps Trump from winning.
Kasich would be an interesting option, but how much credibility would he have if Republicans wouldn't vote for him in the Primaries?
However I can imagine there might be some people that won't see a big difference between Hillary and Kasich. They would stay at home on voting day, unless they though someone crazy like Trump might get in.
idc hillary should win. first female president. this is the only chance to make history... as far as her tenure as a president is concerned , she cant go worse than bush so GO HILLARY!!
