The Used
"Blood On My Hands"
Artwork |
Stats on my weekly c/d: [ 16 Weeks | Peak: #1[x1] ]
- The top 10 begins with a rock band, as usual. The Used made their comeback with this song "Blood On My Hands" on July 2009. The music video for this song is very violent and bloody (forgive the repetition) but I liked it.

Madina Lake
"Never Take Us Alive"
Attics To Eden |
Stats on my weekly c/d: [ 14 Weeks | Peak: #1[x1] ]
- Maybe the best discovery on ''Alternative Playlist'' (of Mtv Latin America) that I've done. Madina Lake is a fantastic band and the concept of this band is interesting, the theme behind the band's music is in relation to the mystery of Adalia (the most famous socialite of a fictional town that they describe).

The White Tie Affair
"Candle (Sick And Tired)"
Walk This Way |
Stats on my weekly c/d: [ 18 Weeks | Peak: #1[x2] ]
- Another discovery through ''Alternative Playlist''. The White Tie Affair is a pop rock band and they released their first studio album ''Walk This Way'' on 2008. "Candle (Sick And Tired)" is a really catchy song.

Owl City
"Fireflies"
Ocean Eyes |
Stats on my weekly c/d: [ 13 Weeks | Peak: #1[x3] ]
- This song is brilliant! I saw this song in every countdown on ATRL, and I thought: ''it must be another overrated song'' but I did hear it on Mtv Hits (like in September) and I loved it. Also "Fireflies" had success in almost all charts over the world.

The Offspring
"You're Gonna Go Far, Kid"
Rise And Fall, Rage And Grace |
Stats on my weekly c/d: [ 16 Weeks | Peak: #1[x2] ]
- These guys have a long history in the rock music, with eight studio albums and a lot of singles on their favour, The Offspring take the sixth spot with the 2nd single from their latest album.

Taking Back Sunday
"Sink Into Me"
New Again |
Stats on my weekly c/d: [ 15 Weeks | Peak: #1[x1] ]
- Before I heard this song, I only knew two songs from them ("Cute Without The 'E' (Cut From The Team)" and "MakeDamSure", both songs are really good) but "Sink Into Me" had an impact on me, I can't stop listening to this song.

Oasis
"I'm Outta Time"
Dig Out Your Soul |
Stats on my weekly c/d: [ 20 Weeks | Peak: #1[x4] ]
- I became a big fan of Oasis since I went to their concert in my country. When the performance for "I'm Outta Time" started, I was really excited and it was the best moment of the night, in my opinion. By the way, "I'm Outta Time" was at #1 on my mid-year top 50.

Green Day
"Know Your Enemy"
21st Century Breakdown |
Stats on my weekly c/d: [ 15 Weeks | Peak: #1[x2] ]
- Do you know your enemy? Green Day comeback was one of the best events of last year. They still are one of greatest rock bands of this era and they never disappointed me, "21st Century Breakdown" is an awesome album. This is their 4th and last appearance on my list.

Demi Lovato
"Here We Go Again"
Here We Go Again |
Stats on my weekly c/d: [ 20 Weeks | Peak: #1[x4] ]
- If I would have to resume the last year in two words, those words would be ‘Demi Lovato’, "Here We Go Again" is a pop masterpiece and it’s her best song, in my opinion. I love the lyrics of the song and the music video is good too, Demi looks gorgeous there. I love her so much, but she doesn't compare to the greatness of my number one.

Linkin Park
"New Divide"
Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen (OST) |
Stats on my weekly c/d: [ 20 Weeks | Peak: #1[x9] ]
- If you followed my weekly c/d, this shouldn't surprise you. Linkin Park, my favorite band of all time, take the first spot for 2nd consecutive year; "New Divide" is my favorite song and video of 2009 and I already know this song is so new, but it's my 2nd favorite Linkin Park song. I still remember the first time that I saw the music video, I said: ''this will be my number one of this year'' and that was true.
