No matter how it's made, it's 99.9% water most of the time and rest is colour. They are nutritionally bland, and I'm not even gonna mention the taste. Thin and tasteless.
A friend of a friend was drinking almost milk. I thought it was some healthy alternative. I looked at nutrition at the back and it was 0 for pretty much everything. I asked her why she was using it if it was pretty much coloured water for a premium price. She got offended and was picking fights with me all night.
Oh no - that's a shame! She must have been drinking an average one. It's true, most nut milks will contain between 2 to 25% nuts. The reason it can't be 100% is because, well, then you just have nuts. Skim and low fat milks also contain 90% water.
I wonder which panels scored a 0? If I don't homemake mine, here's a look at the panel of the one that I purchase.
Also a shame about the colour you found, given that blending nuts with water will generally create a white substance, the use of that by whatever producer sounds pretty silly. Nut milks can be as simple as nuts and water, though some will add a plant-based oil and some salt. Some will be even more simple, and others will contain a few more additives - it's all about which one you can find!
That type of milk made me fat as **** so I don't think so. One year I stopped drinking milk and lost 25 pounds. Just cut out cows milk as a drink option altogether tbh
So...it's not that whole milk is better for you -- but that if you drink whole milk you're less likely to be turning to unhealthy carbs for an alternative source of calories? The title of the article is misleading.
I was raised on lower-fat milks, so that's probably what I'll continue to drink.

Yea, almond milk is a HUGE waste of water, look it up. It's not that good for the environment, if you're concerned with that sort of thing

The has confused the hella outta me so whether to support or refute your statement, lemme post this.
Page 10 of this Albuquerque Water Utility Authority report places cows milk usage higher, at 54 gallons and this article places it as 67. Also doesn't take into account other environmental effects, and potentially excludes the water expended to sustain the crops to give to the cow, in turn to keep it alive (along with its own water intake and non-dietary water usage), all in order to produce milk.
