but let's not oversell his "success"
His albums don't sell.
His biggest album went 2x platinum.
He relies on streams which is what many people that are overpromoted and underperformed rely on.
His music is here for the moment and forgettable.
His image is forever tarnished but because urban music is so crappy as a whole someone like Chris could dominate much like Lil wayne did.
Urban rado will support his music and much like a few artists they support it doesn't translate into major hits or sales.
I mean r.kelly and bobby brown were just as controversial in their reign but they actually sold albums
Bobby brown having the #1 album of the year at one point and R.Kelly consistently going multiplatinum.
And they have classics.
