The album is going to hit Diamond pretty soon and I'm just like...meh. I feel like Adele has set the bar so high for herself, that it doesn't even feel impressive. "Hello" was massive, but none of her other songs have really resonated with the GP and at this point I don't even listen to the album anymore.
It's still very impressive but there's basically no era because the second single underperformed and she's on tour now. Despite that, the album has longevity sales-wise. So yes the era in general already feels finished.
The era was basically Hello. Her label also tried payola with WWWY ( this song being spammed all the time but it has yet to reach 1m sales) but the gp said NO.
Only because most of the music industry, and this site, looks heavily at singles. But she selling them millions regardless of singles, so she doesn't care.
The last quarter of 2015 was basically her and until January, of course the era won't feel that big when there's no single smashing right now, she's not 24/7 in the media and the album have sold 18 million in 5 months
