Shakira has been shaded by Courtney Love, Tori Amos, KT Tunstall, Antonio De La Rua & Rene Calle 13 that I know of.
Kind of sad that Courtney & Tori shaded her when Shakira had stated that she's a fan of both of them before...but they both shaded her when she had just crossed over to the English market, they didn't know her musical proposal at the time (they grouped her with Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, etc. because of her looks).
I'd like to hear what they have to say about her now that she's shown to be one of the best songwriters/musicians of the past 15 years...as a matter of fact, most of Shakira's music is closer to Tori's than it is to people she compared her to (Britney, Ashanti, etc.) so I'm sure she's changed her opinion on her since that interview she did in the early 2000's.
Lorde dragged almost everyone early in her career and if she didn't specify a person you could apply what she said to a lot of our faves. She just didn't know what she was doing when she first blew up
