Well, it's incredibly rare for an out lgbt performer to win Oscars, article. It's happened 1-2 times or something.
Topping the charts is also pretty rare.

It's happened quite a bit more than once or twice. Sam Smith, Elton John, Melissa Etheridge, Howard Ashman (twice) have all won Best Original Song, plus Dustin Lance Black and probably a few others won for Screenplay. Jodie Foster won two awards for Best Actress, though she wasn't officially out at the time (though apparently there were rumors). If we include bisexual people, Angelina Jolie and Marlon Brando can be lumped in as well.
Topping the charts is probably rarer for gay people than winning Oscars tbh. Sam Smith was blocked on both the BB200 and H100, and I don't think any out gay or lesbian act has topped the Hot 100 since that Clay Aiken single (was
he even out then?). #1 albums are probably a bit more common than #1 singles, but Adam Lambert is the only one I can think of off the top of my head.
