Just an FYI, there are literally thousands of unsafe, criminal-filled 'ghettos' across the states where young people immediately feel pressured to join gangs to get by, drug use to cope, condomless sex is rampant. Beyonce, one of the most influential popstars for youth, did a song like this: People think this isn't propagating problems or anything, it's just innocent pop.
This sure isn't anything to oppose or deem harmful.. because.. y'know, "Yonce all on his mouth like liquor"
The promotion of carelessly revealing a female's body in every frame of the video There are teenage pregnant girls battling addictions and on welfare as we speak, not a fun drag.
Drunk In Love? Played while pregnancy test of 14 year old girl shows "positive".
Abortion? No, can't afford that. Partition plays next; she's crying, lightly.
Sex is supposed to make us win. Has the role model I value pushed me in the wrong direction?
*thinks about coke dealing boyfriend; welfare'd, parents? Dead.* He's my Jay-Z.

Tell me why people think pop culture is cool again
Yo, not to get all stoner cringe, but we could genuinely be causing worldwife shifts in amazing changes and consciousness but we're literally focused on Iggy Azalea and co. It's a genuine problem. PROBLEM Pop culture distracting people from greater issues worldwide is actually something human kind faces as a hurdle to overcome, like a genuine thing that HOLDS us back from positive developments. It makes people lose themselves, they find 'who they are' in the lyrics and attitudes of concocted artists. We don't care about solving issues and inventing things that could potentially uplift people everywhere, we rather continue spreading the awareness of what pop star's are deeming as funny, interesting, 'worth it' to follow. We follow their trends, rarely our own.
It's so aggravating. We're spreading THEIR attitudes, their ideas of cool, their sounds, their images. We're not thinking about what we could be doing.
most people don't even know about these videos
it didn't blow up nearly as much as i thought it would
i can't even say its white male privilege because JB was the most hated person in the US at the time
Besides from that racist video, I never understood why he was "most hated". Was it because of Baby? Well the song is terrible and annoying but it doesn't really warrant hate towards him.

He was every straight teenager's worst nightmare. An effeminate looking boy who got all the girl's attention
Now that he behaves like any old douche frat boy they like him.

he was literally molded by the media and society into the boy he was a couple years ago
from the day he debuted...ppl disliked him...thought his voice was girly and girls were in love with him
ppl just picked on him
then he went in a rebellious stage (pissing in mop buckets, high speed chases, fighting paparazzi, getting arrested) where some may say the hatred was deserved...but for me...he never caught a break so it was his Britney era
edit:
and how could i forget TMZ
they were mortal enemies...TMZ was out to ruin him
