I've been thinking this as well. I don't know what he can do though. Then with him being part of Tidal his album is likely to be exclusive on there as well (at least for a while)

This movie (if successful at the box office or if it pulls a Gaga during the awards season) could certainly be a step in the right direction.

After that, there are several things Usher could do:
1) A Dark concept-album executive produced by Diplo (maker of Climax and Go Missin', which are the last USher jams to get extremely positive critical reception)
2) Duet with Beyonce (Finally) on one of her albums
3) Video Vanguard Award w/ AMAZING medley of past hits (He is one of the last from his gen to receive it along with Xtina and P!nk)
4) Superbowl Halftime Performance alone or Co-headline w/ Alicia Keys
5) BET Ultimate Icon Award

I just started watching his snap stories for a few days. All he does is swimming, working out, sitting in sauna, drinking, eating, driving/walking round NY/Brooklyn and recording songs... in the middle of the night

I always knew that March/April thing won't happen (some song premiere maybe and that's a maybe). I'm starting to think it's more and more likely that his album will be Tidal exclusive (for a while). Also that Hands Of Stone thing... I thought the movie is like done, along with that soundtrack.

^trainsskyscrapers that would be a comeback i'd say. I want him to headline the Superbowl someday, he deserves it. A reinvention of his music/image would be nice too. All of this sounds like a plan he's preparing for like 3 years almost. Probably not gonna happen anyways.

The thing is that he has been in the studio so many times since last year, maybe even the year before and here we are still waiting for the album. Him being in the studio doesnt mean anything.

I would also like him to do an album where he gets more personal. He always sings about women what is fine by me but I would like to hear how he feels about things like growing up without a father, losing his stepson, and growing up in the spotlight. He loves soul music so im surprised he hasnt written about things like that yet. But on the other hand he also seems to like keeping her personal life very private.

A part of Tidal wasn't a good move in my opinion.

Maybe Usher can make a comeback while his remix w/ Chris and Zayn is out. He could go back to that 2004 feel and put a 2016 spin on it

Any guesses as to when he will actually release his album? 4 years is a long time I was getting used to him releasing an album every 2 years.

He changed his instagram name to Usher. thats a lot easier to find than howuseeit. this could mean that hes making his social media easier to find for people who are not following him yet, hes gonna drop the new single soon.... im reaching..

I actually think an exclusive release would benefit Usher.

He's a deserving R&B legend, and if people think they can only listen to his album in a certain way, it will pique their interests. Tidal might be a reach, but a Spotify-only or doing a deal with Samsung could potentially help him.

He needs to continue associating with artists of his level. Chris Brown is cool but beneath him. Get back in the studio with Biebs! Remind people of who you are, and then strike while the iron is hot!
